These Six Fairfield County Locales Rank Highest In Crime, According To New FBI Statistics

The latest FBI Crime statistics are out for 2017, and they provide mostly good news for the state of Connecticut overall, which enjoyed a lower rate of violent crimes and property crimes.

Violent crimes and property crimes are among those falling from year to year statewide, but several cities and communities in Fairfield County experienced marginal crime rates.

However, six cities in Fairfield County had crime rates of 1 or more per 1,000 residents. They are Bridgeport, Danbury, Norwalk, Stamford and Trumbull.
